The common approach to designing an annual report for a web-based business would be clean and modern. eBay is dirty and chaotic. I expressed it's dirty, chaotic nature through packaging imagery and symbols. I also intended to show the personal experience of eBay. The ritual anticipation, packing, unpacking, trips to the post office, etc.
